We read scripture readings, bidding
prayers and other readings for weekday and Sunday Mass, Holy days and
feasts/solemnities. |

When?
When
does it take place?
|
Normally,
you will be required to read every 4/5 weeks at weekend Mass, with
additional readers required at main feasts of Easter and Christmas.
|

Why?
What
is its purpose?
|
Most
people rely on hearing the scriptures at Mass (i.e. they do not have the
readings in a missal in front of them). Hearing different voices
encourages them to pay attention.

is it for?
Who
runs it?

Anyone who has a love of scripture and a desire to share
this with others can be involved. We warmly welcome anyone with a skill
for reading aloud, using a microphone, in a clear voice. New readers
particularly welcome for Sunday 5.15 pm Mass. |
